# Printable Periodic Table

General chemistryGrades 6–12 · GCSE / A-level · IB · AP · CBSE2 items · answer key included

A free printable periodic table with all 118 elements, designed to fit a single A4 or US Letter page (landscape works best). Each box shows the atomic number, chemical symbol, element name and standard atomic weight (IUPAC 2021 values abridged to four significant figures), and elements are colour-coded by category — alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, post-transition metals, metalloids, reactive non-metals, noble gases, lanthanides and actinides — with a legend. The second page is a blank periodic table worksheet: an empty grid with group and period numbers for students to fill in symbols and atomic numbers, with the completed periodic table as the answer key.

## How to use this worksheet

1. Print the full table in colour as a reference sheet for exams, mole calculations and stoichiometry worksheets; select landscape in the print dialog for the largest boxes.
2. Use the blank periodic table as a recall test — e.g. the first 20 elements for GCSE, or whole blocks (s, p, d, f) for A-level.
3. Ask students to shade the blank table by category, then compare with the colour key in the answer sheet.
4. Atomic weights match the values used in the MolDraw mole concept and titration worksheets.
5. Set the title, student lines and answer option on the left, then press **Download PDF** and choose “Save as PDF” (or print directly). Your choices are remembered on this device.

**Draw and edit structures in MolDraw.** Make your own questions: draw any molecule, then export it as PNG or SVG for your worksheets.

## Frequently asked questions

### How many elements are on this printable periodic table?

All 118 confirmed elements, from hydrogen (1) to oganesson (118), including the lanthanide and actinide rows.

### Which atomic masses does the table use?

IUPAC 2021 standard atomic weights abridged to four significant figures (e.g. H 1.008, C 12.01, Cl 35.45). Elements with no stable isotopes show the mass number of their longest-lived isotope in square brackets.

### Is there a blank periodic table to fill in?

Yes. Part B is an empty periodic table grid with group (1–18) and period (1–7) numbers; the answer key shows the completed table.

### Will it fit on one page?

Yes. The table is built with a CSS grid that scales to the page width; print in landscape orientation on A4 or Letter for the clearest text.
