# Community and dashboard

> Click Community in the editor row to open the MolDraw Community. Anyone can read posts. Sign in to post, reply, upvote and request features. Open Dashboard from your avatar to edit your profile, see your drawings and delete your account.

## Community

The Community is a forum for MolDraw users. People ask chemistry drawing questions, share workflows and vote on new features.

1. Click **Community** in the editor row, or in the account menu.
2. Read posts freely. Click **Sign in** in the banner to take part.
3. Click **Create post**. Type a title and your text in **Ask a question, share a workflow, or suggest an idea…**.
4. Add up to 6 images or videos if they help. Videos can be MP4 or WebM up to 50 MB.
5. Click **Post**.

### What you can do in a thread

- **Upvote** a post you find useful.
- **Reply** to answer or ask more. You can mention people and like comments.
- **Share** or **Copy link** to send the thread to someone.
- **Report** content that breaks the rules. Pick a reason, such as spam, harassment or unsafe chemistry instructions. Only admins see reports.

Sort the list by **Latest** or **Top**. Use **Search the community** to find old threads. Read the [Community Guidelines](https://www.moldraw.com/pages/community-guidelines.html) before you post. Do not post private or medical information.

## Feature requests

You can request a feature in two places:

- In the editor, click **Request feature**. Fill in **Email** and **Feature title**, and describe the feature in the box below them. Add images if you like, then click **Send request**.
- In Community, open **Features** and click **Request a feature**, so others can vote on it.

Users upvote requests. Admins mark each one as new, under review, under progress or done. Done requests move to **Implemented features**. The [command palette](https://www.moldraw.com/docs/settings/how-to-use-the-command-palette/) has **Request a feature** too.

## Your profile

Click **My profile** in Community, or **Edit profile & avatar** in the account menu.

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| **Display name** | Shown on your posts |
| **Designation** | Student, Researcher, Scientist, Faculty, Artist, Educator, Pharma or Other |
| Avatar | A drawn peep by default. Click **Shuffle peep** for another, or pick a letter avatar with your initials. |
| Karma | A score shown next to your name on posts |

Your profile also lists features you requested that are now done.

## Dashboard

Open your avatar menu and click **Dashboard**.

| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| **Drawings** | Drawing cards saved in this browser, each with **Open** and **Delete** |
| **Profile** | **Name** and **Designation**, **Save profile**, **Reset password** and the **Danger zone** |

To change your avatar, use your Community profile. The email field cannot be changed here. To delete your account, see [Sign in and accounts](https://www.moldraw.com/docs/account/how-to-sign-in-and-create-a-free-account/).

## Tips

- Search Community before you post. Your question may have an answer already.
- Add a screenshot or a `.moldraw` export picture to a question. It is faster to answer.
- Upvote existing requests instead of posting the same idea twice.

## Questions and answers

**Can I read the MolDraw Community without an account?**
Yes. Anyone can read posts. You need a free account to post, reply, upvote or upload images.

**How do I request a new feature in MolDraw?**
Click Request feature in the editor, or open Community, Features and click Request a feature. Others can then vote on it.

**How do I change my avatar?**
Open your Community profile with Edit profile & avatar in the account menu. Shuffle the peep or pick a letter avatar.
